STAR Process®: Soul Retrievals 

Soul Retrieval is a millennia old shamanic healing technique that approaches healing not only from a physical perspective, but from a spiritual one as well. As a concept, it has changed little in form through the centuries, attesting to its potency as a healing paradigm.  In the realms of shamanic healing the body is perceived to be many layers of luminous energy vibrating and acting/reacting to various imprints of light and dense energy experienced within a person.  These dense ‘imprints’ can affect a person at one or a variety of energy centers or subtle body levels--emotionally, physically, mentally, psychically, and/or spiritually. 

The energy that the physical body accesses through all of these light encoded filaments, and many more inter and multi-dimensional states of the Self that we are not conscious of on a day to day basis, is directly linked to Universal “Source”.  However the ease of our access to that light encoded information from Source is limited by our experience and/or personal reaction to the light or dense ‘memory’ of the experience.  In our need to protect the self and ‘survive’ the situation experienced, a part of our self leaves or hides from our consciousness.  It is not that these parts are lost to us, but they are not lined up with our core and therefore we do not have access to what is essentially a gift until we re-empower or re-activate that which has been energetically lost to us.  If we are not able to access all that we are capable of being in each lifetime this is what is perceived of as soul loss. 

The STAR Process: Soul Transmissions And Retrievals® was co-created in 1991 by two practicing psychotherapists-Sandy Corcoran and Lynn Stewart--combining educational & masters studies with alternative licensed therapies and a variety of different long term shamanic trainings both had participated in for personal growth and development.  It is a psycho-spiritual modality which re-patterns wounded aspects of the soul that limit grace and growth, holding one from accessing the core of essential nature—infinite possibilities. 

What we discovered was that this intense form of confrontation to fixed realities experienced by our clients and witnessed & facilitated by us, helped clients to re-establish a personal connection with their Self where there had been dense encrustations or wounds.  We saw that the process was able to transmute what had sometimes taken years of therapy to accomplish, in a single session.  [see article The STAR Process in Spirit of Change Magazine, co-written with Joan Wilcox, September/October 1995] 

The recognition of our work was further enhanced through teachings of the ‘left side’, healing practices with Americo Yabar, and the blessing and karpay exchange (in the Peruvian mystical traditions, a karpay is a direct transmission of power and knowledge from master to apprentice) into the 4th level kurak rites of the Andean Mystical Tradition from Don Mariano Apasa Marchaqa. 

Don Mariano also performed the Rite of Pachakuti to put us in alignment with all our possible selves and to embody and bestow the knowledge of his lineage to us.  This rite was done privately and witnessed by Americo and his daughter, as we were asked to open a new mesa with only two ancient puma statues held within the old cloth, to welcome the coming times with the female energy we held within our hearts & minds.  [see article: The Ordinary and the Nonordinary co-authored with Joan Wilcox in Magical Blend Magazine volume #54]                 -

I continue to work in Peru, on several occasions with Don Mariano (who crossed in 2004) and over 15 years with longtime mentor Juan Nunez del Prado.  From Juan I received the rites of the Hatun Karpay Phana (right side mesa work, exchanged from his mentor Don Benito Qoriwaman) and the Hatun Karpay Lloque (left side mesa work, exchanged from his teachers’ don Melchor Desa and Tata Lorenza).  These rites, though important and significant in my work, often pale from the unannounced teachings Juan has offered me through his wise counsel, unbounded knowledge and friendship over the years. 

Coupled with shamanic work learned from four unique Native Grandmothers who sought me out and passed me one to another, I continue to perform the STAR Process soul retrieval paradigm both nationally and internationally in conjunction with other shamanic counseling techniques and studies. [see Mentors page, as all teachings helped form me, and thus my work]

The STAR Process recognizes that we are all luminous beings of light.  It is a process that can assist clients to regulate and refine the light of inner knowing so that the filaments within the individual’s web of Being become more informed and fully illuminated.  They are sessions based on intent where all expectations are ‘left at the door’, as the therapist and client engage the inter- and multidimensional realms that exist outside of time and space.  This re-alignment reactivates our divine birthright—the realization of unbounded possibilities—our connection to Source.  These perceptual shifts help integrate the Divine held within the matrix of each of us, existing now and forever, as multidimensional soul expressions and can amplify our original purpose in this lifetime.  

The STAR Process sessions are intensive, interactive healings lasting up to two hours. Healing does not always imply curing, for the soul always has its free will and contract for learning and experiencing with Original Source.  Though I am working with you in the energetic realms and recognize that energy can be worked with remotely because it is not bound by time and space, due to my experience of conducting hundreds of these over 15 years, for the safety and nurturing of the client, I will only conduct these in person.  They are never taped, allowing for the client’s full expression in the moment.
